Pastor Charles Moore is a prolific and gifted preacher, teacher, counselor and senior pastor of both First Baptist Church Summit, OK. and Antioch Baptist Church in Tahlequah, OK. Pastor Moore has been blessed to be under the tutelage of several powerful men of god such as Rev. Dr. James E. Hightower and Rev. Dr. Jasper Williams Jr. Additionally in 2004, he was licensed and ordained by rev. Dr. Wallace S. Hartsfield Sr., Pastor Emeritus of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church of Kansas City, Mo and Vice-President at Large of the National Baptist Convention of America.
Since beginning his Pastoral Ministry in 2009, The Summit has been blessed by God to grow tremendously as one of the leading churches in area. Additionally, The Summit is also noted as a church making a difference in the lives of the Muskogee community. Recently the addition of the West Campus (Antioch – Tahlequah) the ministry is now impacting the Cherokee County Community as well. Pastor Moore and his wife, Lady J (Johnita Moore), are truly an anointed duo that God is using to make a change in the lives of people.
His ministry vision is uncompromisingly clear, with one central principle; to build and develop a Kingdom of Empowered People for God. Holding firmly to the commissioned mandate in Matthew 28:18-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations”, Pastor Moore has taken the gospel into national and international communities around the world as a revivalists and evangelists.
Pastor Moore earned his Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Christian Ministry at Bacone College with a specialization in Pastoral Counseling. Pastor Moore serves as the President of the Muskogee Christian Minister's Union - the largest ministerial group in the Muskogee County area. He was appointed by Ok. Gov. Mary Fallon as a Board Member of the Oklahoma Arts Council; CEO of the SEED Center, a 501(c) 3 organization established to provide education services and economic development for the Community of Summit, Ok and the surrounding communities; and is a guest lecturer and instructor at several colleges and universities around the country.
